Everyone who is starting off in their career will have a pretty good experience in TCS. I have been working here for 2 years and believe me if you are in the right project, you are lucky. Otherwise the condition will get worse day by day. Talking about my journey, I've joined in midst of covid. So work from home and IGNITE training went online. (For those who don't know about IGNITE , its a program for BSC/BCA graduates to have 6 months training and opportunity to get MCA degree within 2-3 years of working in TCS.) Life was good during IGNITE. I got allocated to a project , which I'm still working on. The project was in development phase when I've joined and now it's in support. To be honest It was great during development phase. Initially I was working as QA tester, then got chance to show my skills in performance testing and finally moved on to Java development. But unfortunately the project went to support mode and I couldn't utilise much of my Java skills except few API integrations, bug fixes and slight enhancements to an already built product. This was a big con for me. Above all the entire team got dispersed from the project and they got assigned to new assignments. I felt stuck in my team. It's like those who put in good work was doing all the work. This is really my experience working here. The compensation here really low even if you are working on even weekends. We are a team of 5 right now and I'm responsible for dev ops and support of the project. Support projects in TCS is a nightmare and from what I've got to know majority are support projects only. So if you are lucky enough you will get good development projects were you can learn and grow. TCS as company overall is good and the brand value is quite high. I had also got to travel and work with the client at their location.(not international tho) Update : 29 Nov 2022 I finally decided to move on with my career.
