New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. No team outings or gatherings. You’ll never meet your colleagues. Management sucks & completely focused on saving chiller amounts & loosing employees. No office only, nobody visits & no use of existence. Shift allowance sucks & higher deduction on earnings. CTC will be higher & when your first salary you’ll their true colours.

One of the aspects I appreciate most about working at Tangoe is the people I have the opportunity to work with. The team that has employees with more than 7 to 8 years with Tangoe here is incredibly talented, supportive, and collaborative whether it's brainstorming new ideas, tackling challenges, or celebrating success within the team.

One aspect that I find challenging about working at Tangoe is the perceived lack of alignment between the pay scale and growth opportunities for older employees with market standards. who actually carry domain knowledge which is very important for this company.
