A public limited company. Job is secured. Work is satisfactory /challenging in marketing.

Dislikes

Non-performers get their job done/promoted by adopting unfair methods. Higher-ups and people in position are mostly corrupt.Very scant respect to retired people. Amongst the bluchip/ public sector compnies, joining SAIL should be last preference.While in service medical facility is excellent, but afrer retirement the facility is negligible. Last 11 years SAIL has not finalised the pension scheme which was envisaged in Pay-panel report of 2007 whereas all other public sectors have already adopted the scheme....Read More

Exciting ( Marketing n warehouse operation/ port operation). But if you are not taking care of your boss/higher bosses , you will be left out in the line of promotion. Hypocracy/oiling and corruption are the key words.

Overall a very rigid environment. If you want to change something, then you will face too much difficulty . Some bosses are good, who understand and are flexible to understand other viewpoint. Others are stubborn and they want to make sure that any problem they faced in their career must also be faced by new entarnts in the system.

Dislikes

Their appraisal system is such , that they tend to show that are trying to make a hierarchy, seperating performers and non performers. But this is usually discriminatery because Opposite also happens quite a time. They promote almost 95% peoples and leave some just to show that all cannot be promoted. Usually their appraisal is based on like and dislike and not on work.
