I am completely disappointed at my choice of working for such an institution where employees are treated as animals. Amidst the pandemic and even before the lockdown was lifted, the employees were forced to come to the institution and collect materials from school to start online classes. Some of them were also forced to distributebooks during the lockdown. What is worse, the institution announced lay off of some employees belonging to other states and were released from their duties to avoid payment during this tough time, these employees were stranded and could not go to their hometown. One of the employees who worked here for nearly a year was released, citing the reason that she is not good looking and lacks a presentable appearance. This is utterly a shameful case of body shaming! She lacked funds and was left to fend for herself as food was not provided to them and the rest of the employees were only paid in half, though they had to work full time from their homes, with no assurance of their money to be returned later. We teachers and non-teaching staff resumed our duties from the 1st of June 2020, but we were not provided with essential things like gloves and sanitizers. We are made to work round the clock but we are doubtful if we will receive our deserving salary this month. I have worked here for over a year and appraisal has been cancelled altogether. Moreover, we can not even devote time to ourselves (for personal growth and development) and our family due to the work pressure bestowed on us. Our suggestions to improve the learning of the kids go unheeded. The office politics that goes on is filthy. Teachers and the authorities talk ill of other teachers in front of students due to which the students disrespect and talk back to the teachers. Some teachers discuss the salary of other teachers with the students, which is downright disrespectful. No respect for teachers, no appraisal, unbearable work pressure, salary has been reduced to half.
