It's a good place to start your career probably, and the tag might open doors for you, but the nature of the work here might as well shut those very doors if you stay too long.

The official title says "Editor" but the job is a glorified desk data entry job. The Bangalore team consists, of quite frankly, the most horrendous people I've ever had the misfortune to meet. "Team" is a loosely based term to describe these individuals, as there is no teamwork happening. The seniors are sexist, misogynistic and quite frankly disappointing to work with. If you are someone who's blinded by all the good work Nielsen has done over the years, and is actively looking/ considering this position, hoping to make the same impact, I assure you none of that good work is coming from this particular department. The work you do here WILL NOT TRANSFER to another position, because of its extremely redudant nature. If you're looking for a job that's quite unskilled, as a way to make some extra cash, then this is the role for you, however the politics alone will make you quit. Senior-Junior hierarchy is terrible, no proper training, no proper communication, emails are seen as threats, and the team, despite being educationally qualified, have no understanding of how corporate culture works, and honestly are poor representatives of the Nielsen culture. The interviewers.... both were very much professional and due to which I have a lot of respect for them. They are not like the Indian interviewers who treats you like anything. Also work from home is being provided until the new building is getting completed in Bangalore.

- This place is crawling with Ex Byju's Employees. I don't had an issue with them until they started micromanaging. - Most of the ex-Byju's employees being interviewed for name sake and hired. - People with having less than 2 yrs experience leading teams of senior folks and taking interviews of senior folks.....talk about irony. - They put One ex-Byju's employee on top of my manager's hirerchy. And since my manager is in USA these ex-Byju's employee is treating it's folks as first class citizens and the folks from other organisation as second class citizens. - They are keeping a standup call daily with 60+ people. Many of which I don't work with. And keep asking updates. Talk about work culture 🤣 - The structure is not proper here. Though being a MNC they are behaving like a startup. - They don't have other reimbursement policies like internet. My advice will be go for other opportunities instead of this one....Read More

Nothing to like about Nielsen. Only it has brand name otherwise, the management is bad, they talk sweet and nice but in reality they don't care about you at all.

1. They took my interview for Senior Product Manager role 2. I cleared all the rounds and at the end of each round I asked about the feedback and everyone gave positive response and told me they would like to onboard 3. Recruiter told me that the panel really liked my profile and will onboard me by next week 4. I followed up and they told me that they are not considering my profile for Senior Product Manager role, but will consider for Product manager but the budget is very less 5.
