- Top heavy management, won't let you grow. - Too much diversity initiative, has filled middle management with incompetent managers. - Almost no hike, promotions. Diversity promotions are forced by senior management. - Highly incompetent managers won't let you work as they are insecure. - No coordination between business and technology. - I can go on and on. But its pointless.

The promotions from Director to VP level and beyond is very conplicated and unclear. You have to go way out of your job role to get that. Also, it is an investment bank so majority of the tech projects have mediocre tech stack. But Morgan stanley as a company have multiple tech forums which can be utilized to enhave skills and that you have to do on top of your project work.
