I have been with Model N for over 11 years. In these 11 plus years, the one thing that I have observed and felt is that even though Model N has grown as a company, it has retained its small product company culture. We have an open door policy where anybody can walk into a senior executive's office and discuss what she or he wishes to discuss. Disagreements are not discouraged and in fact they are celebrated in the sense good debates make for good teams and vice-versa. One best aspect of working in Model N is the generous leave policy. The period of pandemic, employees were encouraged to take time off and this policy has been retained since then. A wellness program was put in place where employees get extended weekends off every few weeks to months. And the best is the July 4'th week, that entire week off which we get irrespective of which geography we are located in. Compared to other services companies, the pay structure is better in Model N. Also, since its a listed company, employees get equity in the form of ESPP and restricted shares which is additional bonus on top of the salary and bonus component....Read More
I think, this would be a more common complain/challenge that any employed IT professional will have. Getting chance to update themselves with the latest in the industry is something we all struggle with and Model N is no different in that sense. We do have training platforms training people in industry basics but the wider technical/professional training is something I wish we could incorporate.

ModelN is a very employee-oriented company that keeps making policy changes to achieve a better and happier workforce. One thing that is very different from other big companies is that the leadership team is very approachable and amiable. They also allocate shares which is an additional benefit based on your performance. Overall its a very good company to work with.
I think they do not have a very progressive thought when it comes to appreciation, people's efforts are not appreciated and somewhere I feel politics does come into the picture.
