The manager Vinod Venugopal is very powerful, he can even throw you out anytime and has thrown many people out, and torture you mentally as and when he wants just because he has mentally Ill disease called favoritism.

Lot of scope for learning new things and people are usually helpful.

Such a big company but still there is no job security. It works like start up culture. If project is there they will hire and project is gone they will fire.

This company has been plagued with Bad leadership and managenet in the post COVID times, it feels so disappointing to see this company becoming what it is today after begin here for more than a decade just for the great culture and values that's almost nonexistent now. Almost all the managers these days have been hired cheaply fromIndian companies, these people lack basic etiquette and bring their toxic culture to the along, has made the culture exteremely Toxic and Political. Employee Satisfaction and Welfare are not the priority anymore and the company is now is only chasing profits after the bad investment decision to fund OpenAI all the funding has been directed to build AI and acquire GPUs, there hasn't been any appraisals since the past 2-3 years and the employees are being forced to accept dry promotions without any hike in pay but responsibilities with the expectation to perform without an boost to Morale or appreciation for your hard work. All talks of being a Growth Minded organization ring Hollow and fake as there is no growth in Microsoft (India) anymore. If you are really unlucky you will be stuck in a lousy and bad cultured team. But that DOESN'T define the overall organization. And the best part is, there is always a way out and scope for internal switch.

The only good thing is free food. Nothing else to like.

Dislikes

Its no more the old Microsoft which was known for cultural and work life balance. Its rotten by the politics and bad culture. Its just a hire and fire company now. Make sure you learn politics before entering in. Best would be to stay away from Microsoft India.
