Lumiq unlike most company is built on culture of trust. Teams are expected to operate with complete ownership and are empowered to do so. This is very different compared to a lot of other places where there is a lot of focus and controls on ensuring that every one delivers. For example no one will push you or track you day in day out - expectation is to reach out and share your status - this creates a unique experience which is often a culture shock for outsiders. This philosophy results in opportunities to collaborate and participate in architecture and activities beyond coding. Unlike previous organisations where tasks were created and shared with me to execute here there is freedom not just to question what, why and how as well. I have not seen so much flexibility and freedom else where. Communication with leadership has become difficult thanks to Covid not that they are not reachable but there are limited interactions. Many policies are open and sometimes as outsiders it becomes tricky to navigate - you have to ask around for information which has become tricky thanks to WFH....Read More

Its a company of minions (junior rookies) who just rule by hire & fire. Freshly hired staff carry the weekend working and all the bullying that comes in as part of Lumiq's culture. No proper project planning. You'll be asked to take up tasks on random modules for which you would never be given any KT and will be asked to complete it immediately. If you ask any doubts regarding the task to your manager be ready to face the ranting. Very toxic environment. No leave policy so you will never be able to take a leave.
