1. Job Security- Even in dull period there is a opportunity for staff to move to other divisions of L&T. 2. Challenging Projects- Large size EPC projects in remote locations of India, shutdown projects with a world record breaking schedule are being executed by L&T- M&M. 3. Supportive & Highly demanding management- Management is pushing & supporting to go extra miles to complete projects ahead of schedule. Which boosts the confidence of staff member. 4. On time performance- Most of the projects are done on time even it is not a profitable project. I feel very proud on receiving appreciation & recognition for this. 5. Freedom to learn & experiment new techniques/innovative ideas ; We are motivated & encouraged to implement digital technologies, Modular works on Projects. 6. International Projects; Opportunities for staff to work & gain international exposure as company has presence in MENA region and projects in UAE, KSA, Oman and Egypt. 7. Dislikes

1. Work life balance on project sites is an issue as most of the projects executed has a stringent time schedule. 2. Less opportunities for growth beyond certain level of Sr management, as organisation has limited positions in higher levels.

As my projects are located outside India, i had a unique experience of dealing with international customers, adopting work culture to suit to people of different nationalities, executing works with international safety & quality standards.

Dislikes

salary increment value is very less (even less than yearly inflation rate), Reduced PLR, wide salary difference between low & high rated staffs, Preference on some engineers for assigning jobs even he is overloaded. Ill-treatment by some senior members to junior collegues is just unbearable. This propagates similar bad feeling and ha tred to fellow colleagues down the line. Work must be combined with good behavior, sweet words, proper respectful interaction, love and affection. Productivity and motivation will then shoot up automatically.
