Salary in KPMG is comparatively better than most of the big IT companies.

Work Life balance is very poor. Favoritism & nepotism is very common in the organization like any other BIG4 firm. Leadership theory takes back seat in BIG4 and they have Managers with very poor leadership skills.

Too much politics like no where -more like start up with no clear policy old people without knowledge or exp in a particular technology blocks the way for really skilled, experienced folks who does real selling/work/runs the business with good relationship with onshore stakeholders etc., that matters to the company's growth, by using policies like office return, etc.,

Audit and tax people. They are typical thick skin people and control everything in KPMG india even though assurance is supposed to be separate legal entity. Ki margins are wafer thin and whole dept is body shopping mode. They have made notice period to 3 months and it is bound only on employee but not on company. Not sure whether this is even legal. Their processes are worst. They don't even calculate project margins correctly and all the directors and partners in assurance are always sacred of tax and audit people even though tax and audit people average nfr per partner is paltry. Mind that assurance average productivity is worse than tech Mahindra and that should set the alarms bell ringing....Read More

Worst is that this company is not there at all. It is controlled by KPMG audit mostly or tax in some other cases. These have no knowledge of technicals and their average output is fraction of technical people and yet they assume all leadership roles. End result is very risky company that is almost body shopping in disguise. Promotions is only for bluff masters and it reflects in very low productivity of employees. Almost no senior is billable and that is precarious situation. Don't be surprised if they resort to layoffs that they are already doing at lower levels but with burden of higher people reaching break point they will have to resort of mass layoffs.
