Dislikes

It is a highly biased firm, if you are not in good books of senior management people, then no matter how good you perform it won't matter. Your growth rate is not proportional to your effort & skills if you don't know how to be in good books of some people

The salary of KPMG is quite higher than the other big 4.

1)There is no work life balance. 2)There is no Log off time we need to start the day before the login times and there is no log off time for the company. 3) there are so much politics they can remove you from the company at any time with nonsense reason 4) they will never promote you as per your quality then never see good on you but always see bad in you

Nothing, it feels like high school nowadays.

Dislikes

Secretly company is falling down. No perks. Even the sick leaves are restricted. Should apply planned leaves before a month. No unplanned leaves allowed because sick leaves are being questioned. Concept of work life balance is just to mention in offer letter. Honest suggestion would be to prefer some other startups than KPMG.

Apart from normal work they keep on pushing you to take up extra projects irrespective of your work Doesn't matter how skilled you are, the only thing matters here is how much you do activities Not a good place for someone who wants to learn and grow

Very poor management system. Forced to work in projects. No proper appraisal, compensation, benefits. Tooo much politics. Company growth matters to them not the concerns of individuals. I had a terrible experience but there are people whom I have seen who are having plan to get retirement from kpmg only.

Manager and AD's are underqualified and senseless. Cheap and downgrading mentality. Fearing from employees under them, and try to deteriorate good employees so that they keep themself fit.

For no reasons RTO tracking by supervisor though exceptions given to shift people, also while having not client facing role forced for RTO. Companies like Deloitte and PWC still giving work from home, no one is tracking the way KPMG. That is forcing people to leave organisation. Long hours - Until midnights. Pay revisions don't happen often. Firm wants you to be a pet dog to partners from the West. One negative comment and your career is doomed. Lot of unaccounted work in the name of practice development

Services in Big4 Companies are very good. Their transportation system is also good. Coworkers are also very supportive.

Client Project are not often available. We need to work on internal project with KPMG Regional Firms like US, UK and AU firms. Onshore opportunity is also not available in KPMG most of time.

Team mates are very easy to work with and always ready to help. They provide cabs which makes travelling to office and back pretty much hassle free.

Dislikes

- They have bosses not leaders. Especially within the POA and SCM Advisory teams. There is a group of people who got way more than they deserve and can't bear to see anyone else go ahead of them. There is a lot of favouritism only for bootlickers. - Managers don't take out time to explain the evaluation process and criteria. You have to figure out everything on your own. - Archaic system and processes, you have to login into different portals for everything. - HRs are non responsive. - WLB is a myth and comes at the cost of your image. If you try to talk to your manager they only keep saying, see this as an opportunity and prove everyone wrong. - The health insurance portal is the worst. You need to to call customer care for each and every detail. - Bosses decimate your struggle with your health conditions, saying things openly like it doesn't look like you have any issues..seems like you are making it up to get holidays. The appraisals are very less and below market standard I must say. Too much of toxicity in office culture. Although you will see a lot after joining about work culture and all but there’s nothing. I complained against my manager as once he threw my laptop and had behavioural issue but that resulted me into getting PIP without any proper reason.
