It helps leverage the business contacts developed over the years and working for oneself can be great motivation and track all the details like financial like a hawk (which we don't when you get your monthly pay check from an organisation) when we close deals it's great to keep going :-)

Dislikes

Two things stand out in India. 1. Companys that hire you as a consultant somehow expect you fund the cost of business (travel/client visits etc) whereas an employee is paid for additional from his compensation - this has to change. 2. Stop taking your consultant for granted when agreed on a milestone payment method stick to it, clients tend to just delay payment am not sure how this culture will change, this is a big let down....Read More
