UniOps is the IT center in India for Unilever globally. IT is a stable mammoth which provides the budget for experimentation and decent flexibility to shape your career as well. The experience can be really good with great tech or really bad and boring on old tech like SAP depending on the team you landup into. Global teams a good at work life balance while the GeoIT teams have a ruthless culture.

Dislikes

Growth is slow but steady. not much benefit of overperforming as it is not rewarded proportionately. Hikes are small and real hikes in pay come with promotions from one payband to other. Hierarchy sometimes becomes too much to handle and the culture is more on "Respect the old" side and easy to outperform the existing team mates with little extra effort.

IT manager- work involves ownership and I juggled multiple hats in roles from IT delivery management, project management to typical product management activities. Highly dependent on team and project.
