Worst managers, only manager can servey here..without doing any work..non technical managers they simple sitting and getting salary. Especially Chennai location managers they not leaving this organization...because they can not servey current technology..so they sitting same company 10 to 15 years and enjoying. Worst HR behavior. Consider yourself lucky if you get a decent team to work with, especially a good manager. The managers must be given soft skill lessons before the trainees.

Dislikes

There is no system to give feedback of direct manager to senior management. So, bad managers remain in the system, keep ruining the work environment and make the good employees eventually leave. Work culture is totally at the mercy of the manager and no set rules are adhered to. Compensation and benefits are next to nil. No promotion and poor appraisals.

Everything is good with some exceptions.

Your performance will not matters until an unless you will prove yourself as an important resource for them. All your hard work and performance will be considered once you will make your mood to leave the company. Notice period is very high for non technical resources as well (2-3 months) which is not relavant for non technical resources who are more available in market then technical resources.

Cannot give a comment for the company as such. It all depends on the project and the team you will be working on. If it's a good project, work satisfaction will be there. If it's a good team appraisal and skill development will be there. And vice versa. Suitable only for freshers who can use HCLTech as a platform to jump to higher companies. Don't expect anything from here. The company is not as good as it once was. They are willing to cut down their employees to make profit, so no job security as well.

On paper it is Hybrid work.. Managers and senior persons do not come to office. They ask you to attend office. Late hours office calls. No proper project management. Difficult to reach office.. No proper transport. No bus stop near office. Food is costly. Worst HR policies. Blackmailing by bench manager to leave.

No hikes, no perks, notice period is three months if they fire there is no three months notice period, if employees change the project annual bonus will disappear, ratings won't get counted, management is ignorant, want to run projects with interns, it is becoming a child labour hub.
