I have been working here since November 2018 and I am already confident about my skills and knowledge about Engine assemblies and its Standard of Preparation (SOP) Drafting. It is good platform to learn and develop you skills in propulsion. But, be prepared to do everything from taking a xerox to assembling the engine. Thank you.

Only thing I didn't like was you don't get exposure of other sections of GTRE as you are contained and busy in one particular section.

I am Working in Manik Engine Project Division. It is Small Turbo Fan Engine designed for Nirbhay Cruise Missile. My job includes Assembly and Dis-Assembly of Engine, Preparing SOP (Standard of preparation) of Engine build and SOW (Scope of Work).

I worked as a apprenticeship trainee in GTRE, my responsibility is to assist the work accordingly whats mission is going on. To been specifically assist the operational and maintenance of Gas turbine test facilities

Since I was working on contract basis. Job security is less but good platform to learn and develop our skills.

Job security for contract people is less. Since work pressure was more than ten hours for me. I feel its quite pressurised working area

Generally speaking, my work was quite challenging as I have to look after dimensionsal and material checkup. Making with the report than sending it for approval and making with other reports and check list and tag for the components.

Its a defence based organisation come under DRDO. We can learn more skills from there. Scientists are also friendly and we can interact them without fear.A perfect place to learn practical knowledge.

Stipend is only 9k per month.We cant live with that in bengaluru..Job is not permanent.
