Likes

Approved WFH but asked to come 1week every month. Learning from US team is good as they are way advanced. Office location is good but poor facilities.

-we are a global work from office company only, regardless of the state of the world - no clear roadmap for projects - poor team culture and office facilities - no policies for the admin team

There are multiple verticals which on US data Canada data and Indian and Middle east Asian data of banks and lenders. Almost all teams work either on model development or validation. You can explore the credit bureau data and you will be working mostly as an IC.

Dislikes

Compensation is way below the market average and hike are tied to company performance. Generally range between 7(regular) to 40%(promotions). Facilities are none expect a TT table and ccd vending machines.

We build US mortgage propensity model score cards for US base using the credit bureau data.

Work days: Monday to Friday (Flexible Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
