Managers in Chennai aren't monitored, which means an unethical manager gets freehand to do whatever suits him, often leading to bullying, bias and unethical behaviour. Even financial/career discrimination against non-tamilians. HR and senior mgmt close their eyes to such problems.

The emphasis on maintaining appearances and navigating bureaucratic hurdles far outweighed the actual execution of tasks. Work life balance is a mere illusion as demanding deadlines and constant pressure often bled into personal time.
