The culture is amazing here, people are very helpful, there is good work which gives you satisfaction and it is very easy to interact with people throughout the hierarchy.

I've been here for four months but I'm amused with the way Calix encourages work culture and engagement without being compromised with work and day-to-day activities.

Dislikes

As I mentioned earlier, I've been here only for four months, didn't find here much to dislike about. I'd like to see Calix continue with the same culture in the future too.

Calix leaders are very supportive, I went through surgery before joining Calix, and other organizations were hesitant to offer me because of my medical condition but Calix India Head Zach told me" You don't need to worry about anything join Calix use our insurance, get your treatment done, and we will support you in all possible ways"

There is nothing to dislike about Calix, When we have Zach as our India head. Zach is the most amazing person you will ever come across.

1. People - They help out whenever we need and understand any issue we are facing 2. Work - Not just regular maintenance work we get a lot of new work is going on so a balanced work to keep your interest high 3. Office - We get good lunch and snacks in office along with company provided cabs for travel to office

Poor , incompetent and unethical management, zero transparency. Lack of accountability in management and in general irresponsible decision making. No stocks RSUs for engineers. No work-life balance even if you are a high performer. No appraisal. Appraisal system doesn't exist. No career growth talk only you have to work day and night on unclear requirements and degrade your health. Zero transparency as an organisation. Manager feels they are kings...Whatever we say it's right. You just have to follow. Plz don't ask questions, otherwise you will be questioned more or same task will be given to you as an award for questioning the design problem. No rewards and recognition. We have a very relaxed work-life balance compared to other products teams in our company.

Zero drive. Very old tech stack and daily tasks are mundane. This might be related to my current team that I'm working on, but I've heard people on few product teams work on some awesome tech stack. But that rarely happens here.
