Unsatisfied with job role
Hi Folks,
I recently joined my current organization (sept'24) in cybersecurity dept. Initially during the interview discussion my job role was defined and focused on application security testing and i joined for the same. But after a month, my managers started handing me data analytics tasks, working on excel, comparing data and such. I am not able to carry out any technical appsec tasks as i have the appsec background. And it's getting more and more frustrated day by day not being able to use my core skills and just do other peoples grunt work. Is it okay to switch jobs with 5 months of joining? Would really like some input.
