One of the best Employer I have worked for in my career of 17+yrs. Best in market compensation and benefits packages. Very good work ethics. Safety is taken extremely seriously.

Dislikes

Job security is poor. There have been series of layoffs within each BG and frequently. The employees are constantly in the fear of "re-organisation" due to which their morale is generally low.

I was appointed as "Wastewater Research Engineer" in 2013 and was based out of the Naperville R&T center (near Chicago). I later relocated to India to support the PTA Licensing Project, including construction phase support and commissioning of WWT Plant.

Boring projects. Non scalable and more towards integration side. People with more number of years should only join if prefer work stability over learning curve Does not communicate initially on timings. Most of the projects are in UK shifts, I.e. 2 pm to 9 - 10 pm. Too much negotiation on salary and pay parity.

- No decent projects. Most of them are fairly average and many of the times get scrapped after a few years. - BP relies heavily on contractors to do the heavy lifting hence as a developer mostly you have to work with Infosys, IBM folks who do not care anything about the kind of work they deliver and are a pain to work with. - Lot's of middle managers with no technical knowledge or clue of what they are doing. - No clarity on promotions....Read More

The ambiance is very nice, you won't feel stress of work. If you are manager's favorite then you will get job satisfaction because they will give you profile and activities which will make your profile shine. Work pressure only during month ends.
