Work life balance can be achieved.
So many things has changed. Too much of cost cutting. Sodaxo card benifit has been discontinued, CCD machines has been removed, laying off the employees. Poor transport service in which employees are stuffed like anything on back seat. Right now people are working here because there is no other option.

Nothing, this is the most toxic company I have ever worked for where everyone is living with the fear of layoffs. Nobody works for long term growth but to save the day and celebrate at the end of week that they still have the job. (Only thing slightly good is they offer good paychecks)
Dislike? Everything. The company culture is horrible. The teams are not stable with people either laid off or resigning as soon as they can due to the fear of lay-offs. Carreer-wise and Learning-wise - BIG ZERO. If you want to learn politics - Great sandbox

There's nothing to like at BNY. There's so much politics that when the layoff happens they will save the employees who are from Chennai even if you are much more skilled.
Politics, no salary increment for 3 years, expect you to work for more than 12 hrs a day.

In certain teams, including my own, managers and senior leadership (VPs, AVPs) seem to overlook or dismiss employee feedback, which can create frustration and disengagement. A structured feedback mechanism, where employee concerns are genuinely acknowledged and acted upon, could significantly improve team morale and productivity. Additionally, promotion decisions should be more transparent and merit-based, ensuring that individuals who consistently contribute, innovate, and understand their roles are recognized and rewarded. While employees are often told that BAU work won't lead to growth, it's essential for managers to provide clear guidance and support to help employees identify and pursue impactful opportunities beyond their regular responsibilities.
