First important point is about the culture. In my team, they gave me full freedom to work at my own pace and gave me the flexibility to work remotely as many days as I wanted. None of my superiors were angry at me for making mistakes and flunking certain tasks that were assigned to me. Instead they calmly guided me towards the rightpath and helped me learn what I should do. Second, they always wanted me to grow more and grow quickly, and they helped me in understanding the importance of my role in the team and how my actions could make or break certain aspects. Dislikes

One thing I would point out is the increment part. It is not as much as you would expect to receive. The increment is below par compared to the industry standards and at times you might have to wait a bit longer than expected to get your desired number. But looking at the other aspects, I would say it is worth the wait.

I am a Customer Success Manager of the SaaS team where my primary role is to ensure that our customers achieve the desired outcomes and goals from our solution and they stay with us.

Work days: Monday to Friday (Flexible Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.
