Likes

Work depended on the team you work in. But in general, loved the work environment at the office, in Pune. It is a very fun and cool place to work at. Managers are so so chill and supportive. Senior Principal of the company is also a very calm person and frank to talk with about career goals.

Dislikes

It is a Data Consulting firm. So the work revolved around creating summaries from data as per client's requests. There was not much scope of innovation, except for some automations in projects routine operations. I don't like consulting so, the work wasn't interesting to me, it was very monotonous in my projects and the scope of learning variety of skills was very low. And since it was consulting so obviously work-life balance was bad. So from learning it is not a very good place in the starting phase of career....Read More

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
