The education bubble in India
Is the Indian education system overrated? With so many graduates struggling to find jobs, maybe it's time to rethink the value of degrees from even top institutions. Are we putting too much emphasis on formal education? Thoughts?

The cost of higher education, especially in private institutions, has skyrocketed, putting a financial strain on families and potentially creating a debt burden.

I strongly believe that we as a society need to embrace the concept of summer jobs/internships starting at a young age as they do in the West. We don't impart any sense of business to kids (unless they come from a family with a business) throughout their school life. I have seen enough interns struggle even with basic communication to realize that we aren't putting in nearly enough effort to prepare them for the corporate world.

I feel it is because of our education system that we're churning out talents that do great if they get a chance to leave the country. It's the job market that's dysfunctional.

That's an interesting question! The Indian education system has its strengths and weaknesses. It's worth exploring alternative paths to success and considering the changing job market. What are your thoughts on this?

Definitely yes, we don't even learn real world skills unless trained by our company

Feeling you! Degrees can only get you so far these days. Skills and experience seem to be king. Maybe it's time for a system overhaul. ☕️

In my opinion I don't like Indian schools because they make students memorize too much, the lessons are old, they don't teach students to be creative, and there's a lot of pressure to do well. Teaching should be done in a fun way ! I think we are putting too much emphasis on formal education. Skills should be given priority than your degree.
