Switching Industries as a Project Manager, Need Advice
Hey everyone, I’m currently working as a project manager in the construction sector and thinking of switching industries. While my current role is fine, I feel I might be happier exploring something different, maybe in tech, operations, or even consulting.
I’ve been in this field for 7 years, but my entry was more about convenience, joined through a family connection after graduation. Now, I want to explore roles that align more with my long-term goals, like moving into leadership.
Have any of you made a similar switch? How did you identify transferable skills and break into a new industry? Would love to hear your thoughts or advice!

Hmm...Take small steps before making the big leap.
You could explore side projects, freelance work, or certifications in your desired field. This will give you a taste of the new industry and build credibility before applying for full-time roles.
