Offer negotiations
Hi Everyone,
I am in my last week of notice period. My current CTC is 20.5LPA. I have an offer with Virtusa for 24.5LPA. I expected Atleast 30LPA but they are saying they don’t have budget. Shall I wait for few more months and join a company that meets my expectations or join this?

You're at a key decision point! Virtusa's offer of 24.5 LPA is a good step up from your current 20.5 LPA. If you can afford to wait, it might be worth holding out for a role that meets your 30 LPA expectation. Meanwhile, keep exploring other opportunities.

Consider the trade-offs of joining Virtusa now versus waiting for a higher offer later. Good luck!

Since you have a short notice period, waiting for a new offer might not be feasible.

If you believe there's room for negotiation, discuss your expectations with the hiring manager or HR representative. Be prepared to provide reasons for your request and be open to compromise

Join the virtusa with their offer as you have accepted now and you are in your last week of your current job. Without a job in hand there are chances of you getting at par or below than the current salary

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all your suggestions. Virtusa increased the offer to 26LPA after the negotiations. I am joining on Monday.

Does Virtusa know your LWD ? If Yes, it's better you accept the offer if u don't have any other in line.
This last week you can search jobs apply for everything that meets your criteria, companies highly prefer candidates who can join immediately and they go easy on interview process for immediate joiners.
