Need Your Valuable Advice.
Hello,
6 months ago, I switched from my previous job to my current one with a 40% salary hike. At that time, it seemed like a great opportunity, but now, I am seriously considering my decision.
My previous job had,
1. A European MNC team with excellent support and work culture
2. Good Time for my family & personal life
3. Flexible timing & permanent work-from-home
4. 5 days working with proper work-life balance
Now, in my current Indian company:
1. 12-hour workdays, with additional work on Saturdays (despite a 5-day work policy)
2. No proper training
3. Toxic work culture, where I get scolded daily due to a lack of training
4. Hardly any time for my kids and parents
5. Started my health issues
My previous company is willing to take me back with a 10% hike on my last salary. Given the work-life balance, supportive environment, and long-term growth prospects I had there, I am thinking of returning.
*It is not going to impact on my monthly expenses.*
Would you recommend going back?

If financial stability is not a concern, going back to a healthier work environment seems like the best choice. Long-term well-being and work-life balance matter more than short-term salary gains.

You’ve already experienced both workplaces, and your old company values you enough to offer a hike. If you felt happier and more productive there, it might be the right decision to return.

A toxic work environment can drain you mentally and physically. If your previous company ensures stability and growth, the 10% hike is worth it for peace of mind.

Bhai, paise zaroori hain but mental peace usse bhi zaroori hai! Pura din kaam karke bhi agar stress free nahi ho, toh wapas jaana hi better hai.

Dekh bhai, 40% hike ka kya fayda agar health aur family suffer kar rahi hai? Pehle bhi wahi kaam kiya hai, wahi log hain, wapas jaana seems like a smart choice!

@fashionabledodo Yes brother. Par kabhi kabhi lagata hai ki log kya sochenge.

Since finances aren’t an issue a 10% hike with a great work environment sounds like a win!

Bro, if your old job is offering a “ghar wapsi” with better work-life balance, then why suffer like a corporate slave? Go before they change their mind!

It’s not just about work.........12 hour shifts and a toxic culture can drain you😩
Go where you’re valued
