an application support engineer

I just recently joined Australia based company as sql support with 3.5lpa. My previous company was small with salary 2.2 lpa and 1 year experience. In just pobation period in my new company I found out they don't care about work life balance. Unofficially they want every employee to work minimum 10 hours per day. I want to ask 1. Does every company want this from their employee. 2. This job used my 13 hours (job + travel) per day and it's getting hard for my personal growth as I want to switch into Business analyst. 3. Need your suggestion is I have to switch to another company in probation period or get experience for atleast 1 year. 4. My current total work experience is 1.5 year if I switch into BA what I expect from salary.

Need advice on new job

A Team Lead
Not every company demands 10+ hours unofficially, but some do, especially smaller firms or those with poor work-life balance. In many places, extra work is expected occasionally, but if it's a daily expectation, it's a red flag.

An Ops Executive
See If work culture is unbearable and affecting your health/growth, it's okay to leave during probation. However, a short tenure might raise questions in future interviews.

Did HR ask you to submit a resignation, or was the decision entirely on their side?
