Need Advice πŸ™

We had a client and recently our project has been taken over by "X" company. So client referred my name for the same designation to "X" company. "X" company reached out to me and we had a discussion. But suddenly my company got to know about it. And now they have sent and email to "X" company management to not contact our employees. In this situation I am losing out opportunity to work with Giant MNC. Please suggest me how should I slip out of this situation and get into the X company. I Note: I have worked 4 years on that project. Had many things learned.

I think you should have an honest conversation with your manager, explaining the situation and your desire to explore the new opportunity. This is what I have done ...hope this helps!
