Group Manager

Position Summary:

This position entails a unique set of key duties and day-to -day tasks; would involve a relatively high degree of responsibilities for the business and other stakeholders. The Group Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the department to include the processing, underwriting, closing, disbursing and servicing. The Group Manager will work closely with other teams to ensure successful alignment to goal achievement.

Role & responsibilities

• Overseeing functions within the teams to assure consistency and accuracy.
• Supervises and expedites the workflow by assigning the personnel necessary to meet schedule requirements. Monitors production levels and makes necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth workflow at a maximum output.
• To ensure team meets daily Production, SLA and qualify requirement
• Provides responses and information to higher management and onshore partners
• Makes recommendations to improve department operations. Implements new work procedures as approved.
• Review and discuss and updates policies and procedures as necessary. Ensures policies and procedures are updated and adhered to.
• Resolves problems, complaints and/or inquiries resulting from members and other stakeholders.
• Assists in setting goals and objectives for the respective area. Implements plan within the area
• Assists with the Capacity planning
• Exercises the usual authority of a Manager concerning staffing, performance appraisal, salary recommendations, promotions and terminations
• Provide service that meets the Service Standards defined by company; annual goals are established through the Performance Management Process.
• Develops and executes strategic initiatives that support profit, growth, retention and customer service objectives
• Creates, analyzes and interprets data from various reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
• Determine and lead delivery of training and development based on individual, and unit needs Coaches, develops and provides feedback to associates.
• Monitor, track and analyze the effectiveness of agency partnerships to support course corrections and decision making.
• Conduct performance management duties including KPI analytics.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, direct, lead, and manage daily activities of front-line managers and other team members
• Assist, mentor, and motivate team members to exceed daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals and KPIs
• Resolve, escalate, or remedy customer service issues in a professional manner
• Maintain a positive work environment by developing helpful relationships with additional team stakeholders

Qualifications: Bachelors in any stream.

Experience: 8-10 years increasingly responsible experience in related areas.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Experienced mortgage professional with 8-10 years expertise in underwriting and other mortgage functions
• Has 4-6 years experience of team management
• Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
• Has working knowledge of real estate lending criteria and federal, state, and agency compliance
• Can multi-task and manage time efficiently
• Has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic Microsoft Office skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organization and verbal and written communications skills.
• Highly adaptive and open to changes as the organization grows and its needs evolve.
