Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Wix Developer to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining visually appealing and user-friendly websites on the Wix platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Wix ecosystem, including its features, functionalities, and limitations, and be able to create custom solutions that meet specific client needs. This role requires an eye for design, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality, optimized, and responsive websites that enhance the user experience.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Website Development: Design, develop, and manage fully functional, visually appealing, and user-friendly websites using Wix, tailoring each site to meet specific client requirements.

Customization: Utilize Wix s tools, Velo by Wix (Corvid), and custom coding to add interactive elements, custom forms, and other unique features as needed to enhance functionality.

Template Modification and Customization: Customize existing Wix templates or build from scratch to align with brand guidelines and user requirements.

SEO and Performance Optimization: Implement SEO best practices, optimize site speed, and ensure that all sites are responsive and perform seamlessly across different devices and browsers.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing on multiple devices and browsers, troubleshoot issues, and ensure cross-platform compatibility.

User Training and Documentation: Provide training for clients on how to manage and update their sites, and create documentation to support long-term site maintenance.

Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, content creators, and other stakeholders to achieve seamless integration of all project components.

Maintenance and Updates: Regularly monitor and update websites as needed, addressing bugs, security concerns, and new feature integrations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Proficiency in Wix Platform: Extensive experience using the Wix platform, including familiarity with Velo by Wix (formerly Corvid) for adding custom functionality.
Coding Skills: Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to integrate custom code within the Wix environment.
Web Design: Knowledge of UX/UI principles and an understanding of modern web design trends, with an eye for detail and creativity.
SEO Knowledge: Understanding of on-page SEO techniques, website performance optimization, and Wix SEO tools.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Problem-Solving Skills: Resourceful and proactive in finding creative solutions to technical challenges and client requests.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively within a team.

Qualification & Experience Required

Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Wix Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed Wix projects.

Certifications (Optional): Wix Webmaster, SEO, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
