Data Center Control Room Supervisor

Summary:

Serves as the shift supervisor during assigned shift. Provides strong customer service, access control, loss prevention, incident response, observation, and reporting of all safety and security incidents.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Manages the physical security operations during assigned shift at a Microsoft Data Center.

2. Monitors cameras, manages site temporary badges, processes site access authorization tickets, and maintains logs and records in accordance with the instructions contained in applicable data center Standard Operating Procedures.

3. Supervises, dispatches, and provides general training of other officers during shifts.

4. Identifies and escalates issues in accordance with documented policies and procedures.

5. Reviews all reports written during shift.

6. Ensures all scheduled posts are filled.

7. Briefs oncoming shifts on incidents taking place during shift.

8. Identifies security shortfalls and offers suggestions for improving the security program.

9. Performs additional security tasks assigned by the Site Security Manager or the Administrative Officer.

10. Maintains documentation and follows standardized procedures to successfully complete unannounced audits.
