Job Description: Physical Security Systems Layout Designer
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Physical Security Systems Layout Designer to oversee the design, planning, and implementation of physical security systems across our quick commerce sites. This role will focus on creating efficient and effective layouts for CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security technologies, ensuring the safety and security of our warehouses, dark stores, and logistics hubs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security systems design, project coordination, and site optimization, with proven experience in fast-paced industries like quick commerce, logistics, or retail.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and Layout Development
• Develop detailed physical security system layouts for quick commerce facilities, including:
• CCTV placement and coverage maps.
• Access control and biometric system layouts.
• Intrusion detection and perimeter security designs.

• Ensure optimal placement of security devices to achieve maximum coverage and efficiency while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
• Work closely with operations, safety, and project teams to tailor layouts to site-specific requirements.

1. Site Surveys and Risk Assessments
• Conduct site surveys for new and existing locations to assess security needs and identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design security solutions tailored to the operational workflows of each facility.
• Ensure designs comply with risk mitigation strategies and industry standards.

1. Project Coordination and Implementation
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to implement security systems as per approved designs.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of security infrastructure to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time delivery.

1. Technology Optimization and Standards
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical security technologies and recommend innovations to improve design efficiency.
• Develop and implement standardized security design guidelines for all quick commerce sites to ensure scalability and consistency.
• Conduct regular audits of security layouts to identify improvement opportunities.

1. Documentation and Reporting
• Prepare detailed security system layout plans, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Maintain an updated repository of designs, system performance reports, and site-specific blueprints.
• Present project progress, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, Security Systems Design, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in designing and implementing physical security systems layouts, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Expertise in designing and deploying CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and integrated physical security infrastructure.
• Experience in quick commerce, logistics, warehousing, e-commerce, or retail industries preferred.
• Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, Visio, or other layout design software.
• Familiarity with security standards, risk mitigation protocols, and compliance frameworks.
