Planning Manager

SOP: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather demand forecasts and customer orders. Analyze historical data, market trends, and sales projections to accurately forecast future demand. Communicate demand forecasts to relevant stakeholders for effective production planning.

Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity and capabilities to determine the feasibility of meeting demand. Identify potential bottlenecks or resource constraints and develop strategies to optimize production output. Coordinate with the operations team to ensure that resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, are available as needed.

Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, sales orders, and inventory levels. Coordinate with various departments, including operations, procurement, and logistics, to ensure timely and efficient production.

Inventory Management (Raw Material): Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and materials management teams to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and components. Implement inventory control strategies, such as reorder points and safety stock levels, to avoid stockouts or excessive inventory. Optimize inventory turnover and minimize holding costs.

Inventory Control (Finished Goods): Implement inventory control policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data. Monitor inventory levels, turnover rates, and aging of stock. From the inventory audits and cycle counts data identify and rectify discrepancies. Implement measures to prevent shrinkage, loss, or theft.

Middle Mile Planning: Plan, design, and optimize the middle mile logistics network to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. Analyze transportation routes, modes, and carriers to optimize delivery times, reduce costs, and maximize capacity utilization.

Promised Delivery Date (PDD) Management: Implement systems and processes to monitor the performance of delivery services against the defined PDD parameters. Regularly track and analyze performance metrics to identify any deviations, trends, or areas for improvement. Generate reports and dashboards to provide visibility and insights into the delivery performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, procurement, and logistics, to align production plans with business objectives. Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide inputs on production capabilities, lead times, and constraints. Foster effective communication and collaboration among teams to achieve production goals.
