Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitor strategies.
- Develop a strategic plan to target new markets or expand in existing ones.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Generate leads through various channels, including networking, referrals, cold calling, and digital marketing efforts.
- Develop a robust pipeline of prospective clients and partners.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Understand client needs, tailor solutions, and ensure satisfaction throughout the sales and onboarding process.
- Sales & Negotiation: Present business development proposals and offerings to prospective clients.
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring terms are mutually beneficial and aligned with the company's business goals.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate partnerships with complementary businesses, vendors, and organizations to expand business offerings and market reach.
- Proposal & Contract Development: Prepare detailed business proposals, contracts, and agreements for new and existing clients.
- Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
- Target Achievement: Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet revenue goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (marketing, product development, operations, etc) to align business development efforts with overall company objectives and customer needs.
- Reporting & Analytics: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progression using CRM tools.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development performance, forecasts, and market conditions.
- Event Participation: Attend industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to build brand presence and generate new business leads.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or a similar role with a successful track record in generating leads and closing deals.
- Strong understanding of sales and business development processes.
- Knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g, Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, events, and conferences.
