Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned consulting leader with a deep understanding of the Life Sciences industry. As a Solution & Advisory Senior Manager, you will build and lead a team to provide pre-sales solution support, shape deals, and develop strategic proposals for Life Sciences clients. Your expertise in pharmaceutical and medical device R&D processes, compliance, and digitalization strategies will drive innovation and success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning and Origination:
- Support annual planning to outline sales targets and target clients.
- Conduct research to identify potential client opportunities within a 6-12 month horizon.
- Participate in sales/pipeline reviews and prepare for initial client conversations.
2. Proposal and Orals Support:
- Define proposal response requirements and establish compelling sales messaging.
- Integrate industry trends, benchmarks, and competitive insights into proposals.
- Shape solutions to align with deal requirements, covering approach, team, pricing, and differentiators.
- Lead client presentations, leveraging innovative methods to differentiate the offering.
3. Content Management and Continuous Improvement:
- Develop go-to-market strategies and maintain a global repository of sales assets (e.g., proposals, credentials).
- Conduct reviews of losses/deliveries to refine sales approaches and optimize deliverables.
4. Team Building and Leadership:
- Build and expand a team offering deal solutioning services for Life Sciences clients across geographies.
- Act as an industry expert, providing thought leadership and developing strategic assets.
5. Industry-Specific Deal Support:
- Manage the end-to-end deal process, from solution architecture to feasibility assessments.
- Develop customized solutions for pharmaceutical R&D digitalization, such as clinical trial management, data governance, and regulatory compliance.
6. Tailored Multi-Team Engagement:
- Collaborate with various internal teams, including market leads, account leads, global network teams, and sales support teams, to deliver integrated solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Industry Expertise:
- Profound knowledge of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, focusing on R&D digitalization, clinical trials, and regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of data-driven R&D, digital lab management, and collaboration platforms.
Leadership and Solution Advisory Excellence:
- 12+ years of experience in consulting or pre-sales leadership roles within Life Sciences.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale solution advisory engagements, including proposal development and presenting to senior executives.
Business Acumen and Communication:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence C-suite decision-makers in Life Sciences.
Education:
- MBA or an advanced degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related fields from a top-tier institute (preferred).
