Utkarsh India Limited is hiring for Talent Acquisition Manager/Senior Manager
Location: Kolkata
Reports To: Head HR
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Manager /Senior Manager to join our team within the steel manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies to attract, engage, and hire top talent across various functions of the steel manufacturing process. You will collaborate closely with department heads, HR, and other business leaders to understand workforce needs and ensure the timely hiring of skilled employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment Strategy Development:
    • Design and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to meet the needs of the steel manufacturing plant, including production, engineering, maintenance, safety, and quality control roles.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate recruitment success and areas for improvement.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and labor market conditions to adjust recruitment strategies accordingly.

  1. Talent Sourcing:
    • Lead efforts to source high-quality candidates through multiple channels such as job boards, career fairs, social media, industry events, employee referrals, and partnerships with technical schools or universities.
    • Develop a network of industry contacts to build a strong pipeline of potential candidates for key roles.

  1. Candidate Screening & Selection:
    • Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting to candidate selection.
    • Work closely with hiring managers to assess candidate qualifications and fit for roles.
    • Conduct interviews, coordinate assessments, and ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience.

  1. Employer Branding & Outreach:
    • Build and maintain the company's employer brand as a top choice for steel manufacturing talent.
    • Promote the company's values, culture, and benefits through various marketing and outreach channels.
    • Develop relationships with external organizations, schools, and industry groups to enhance talent pipelines.

  1. Collaborative Recruitment:
    • Partner with department leaders and HR business partners to forecast staffing needs and ensure alignment with production and operational goals.
    • Provide training and guidance to hiring managers on recruitment best practices, interview techniques, and candidate assessment.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role within manufacturing or industrial settings.
    • Experience in steel manufacturing, heavy industrial, or similar sectors is highly preferred.

  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of the steel manufacturing industry and its specific talent needs.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with all levels of staff and external partners.
    • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
