Business Investment Analyst

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Business Investment Analyst to join the Citibank Wealth team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and stock markets. This role involves supporting investment strategies, portfolio management, and client advisory processes while ensuring alignment with the banks wealth management goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investment Analysis and Research:
   1. Conduct detailed research on companies, ETFs, and stocks by analyzing their financial state, including profit and loss statements and cash flow data.
   2. Keep up-to-date with economic, political, and financial developments, assessing their potential impact on investments.
   3. Investigate trends, interpret complex financial data, and provide actionable investment recommendations.
   4. Create detailed financial models and succinctly communicate insights through reports and presentations.
2. Portfolio Management Support:
   1. Support the creation and management of diversified investment portfolios aligned with client objectives.
   2. Analyze portfolio performance, identify optimization opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations.
   3. Collaborate with fund managers to ensure adherence to risk tolerance and investment strategies.
3. Client Advisory Assistance:
   1. Prepare client presentations, proposals, and financial research summaries for use by the Wealth Management team.
   2. Collaborate with Relationship Managers to address client queries and tailor investment strategies to client goals.
   3. Regularly communicate market developments and portfolio insights to clients.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
   1. Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and potential investment opportunities.
   2. Generate reports and dashboards detailing portfolio performance, market trends, and investment outlooks.
   3. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all analytical outputs.
5. Regulatory and Compliance Adherence:
   1. Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure all work complies with industry standards and internal policies.
   2. Maintain a thorough understanding of financial regulations impacting ETFs and stock investments.
6. Stakeholder Engagement:
   1. Regularly interact with company managers, stock market traders, fund managers, and stockbrokers to gather market insights.
   2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk, compliance, and technology divisions.

Qualifications and Training:

• Bachelors degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master s or CFA preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ETFs, stocks, and financial markets.
• 5+ years of experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, or a related role.
• Proficiency in financial analysis tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Morningstar.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven ability to complete professional development programs such as the Level 4 Certificate in Investment Management.
