Data Engineer Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer Architect to lead our data engineering efforts.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Snowflake, data warehousing, data pipeline design,
and a strong background in modern data engineering tools and practices.
This role will be crucial in designing and implementing scalable data solutions that support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement robust data architecture solutions utilizing Snowflake and data warehousing best practices.
Develop and maintain data pipelines using tools such as DBT and Apache Airflow to ensure seamless data flow and transformation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data projects.
Optimize existing data processes and workflows to improve performance and efficiency.
Manage and maintain RDBMS databases, with a focus on AWS RDS - MySQL, MS SQL*Server, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Utilize Alteryx for data preparation, blending, and advanced analytics workflows.
Develop best practices for data governance, security, and quality assurance.
Mentor and guide junior data engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data architecture and design.
Strong expertise in Snowflake, including data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in building and maintaining data pipelines using DBT and Apache Airflow.
Solid experience with RDBMS, particularly AWS RDS, and SQL optimization techniques.
Familiarity with Alteryx for data analytics and preparation.
Knowledge of cloud technologies, especially AWS, and experience with services such as S3, EventBridge, and Lambda.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools.
