Legal Manager

Legal Advice and Support:

• Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders, including the business development and credit teams, on various aspects of business loans, including credit risk, collateral security, and regulatory compliance.
• Advise on the legal implications of loan products, structuring, and processes, ensuring that they meet legal and regulatory standards.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure that all business loan products, processes, and practices comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws, as well as financial regulations (e.g., RBI guidelines, FEMA, etc.).
• Stay updated on any changes in regulations and laws affecting the banking and financial services industry, particularly related to lending and business loans.
• Risk Management and Legal Documentation:
• Assist in managing legal risks associated with business loan transactions by providing strategic legal guidance and identifying potential legal issues before they arise.
• Oversee the documentation of loan facilities, including security documents, guarantees, and collateral agreements.

Dispute Resolution:

• Handle legal disputes and recovery actions related to business loan defaults, working closely with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Support the enforcement of security interests and recovery of loans, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and protecting the companys interests.
• Collaboration with Other Teams:
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Credit, Risk, Compliance, and Finance) to ensure smooth execution of loan transactions and compliance with policies.
• Coordinate with external legal firms, regulators, and other third parties, as needed, to manage legal matters.
