Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic BU Head to drive the overall strategy, business growth, and operational excellence of our FMCG business unit. The ideal candidate will have 18-20 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations, and P&L management within the FMCG sector. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring revenue growth, market expansion, and operational efficiencies in alignment with corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement business strategies that drive market share and revenue growth.
- Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities and trends.
- Lead business transformation initiatives for sustainable growth.
P&L Management:
- Own full P&L responsibility for the business unit.
- Drive profitability by optimizing pricing, product mix, and cost structures.
- Manage budget planning, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Sales & Marketing:
- Lead sales and distribution strategies to enhance reach and penetration.
- Develop innovative marketing campaigns to promote brand equity and customer loyalty.
- Ensure achievement of sales targets across all channels (modern trade, general trade, e-commerce).
Operations & Supply Chain:
- Collaborate with the supply chain to improve demand forecasting and inventory management.
- Ensure operational efficiency by optimizing production and logistics processes.
- Ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Drive talent development through training and mentoring.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, distributors, and customers).
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align BU goals with overall organizational objectives.
Market Intelligence:
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Leverage consumer insights to enhance product offerings and customer experience.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 18-20 years of experience in the FMCG industry with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Educational Qualification: MBA/PGDM in Business Management, Sales, or Marketing (preferred).
- Proven track record of managing large P&L responsibilities and driving business growth.
- In-depth knowledge of sales, distribution, marketing, and operations within the FMCG sector.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
