National Sales Head - FMCG
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented National Sales Head to lead and drive the overall sales strategy for our FMCG business. This is a critical leadership role responsible for achieving ambitious sales targets, building and managing a high-performing sales team, and driving market share growth across India.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
- Develop and execute the national sales strategy in line with overall business objectives.
- Lead and manage a large and diverse sales team, including regional sales managers, area sales managers, and field sales executives.
- Set ambitious sales targets for each region and track progress towards achieving those targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior to identify new opportunities and optimize sales strategies.
Team Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve peak performance and exceed targets.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
- Understand customer needs and preferences and tailor sales strategies accordingly.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints effectively and efficiently.
Business Development:
- Identify and explore new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate new markets.
- Launch and manage new product introductions and promotions.
- Collaborate with marketing and other departments to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
Budget Management:
- Manage sales budgets effectively and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Track sales expenses and identify areas for cost optimization.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in FMCG sales with a proven track record of success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a large team.
- Deep understanding of the Indian FMCG market, including distribution channels, competitive landscape, and consumer trends.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability.
