Operations Executive

Position Overview: As an Operations Executive in our Center of Excellence (CoE) in India, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating logistics and transportation operations for our business in the Middle East. You will work closely with on-ground teams, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth operations and timely execution of transportation services. This role demands a proactive problem-solver with excellent coordination and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Coordination:

• Oversee day-to-day logistics operations by coordinating with on-ground teams in the Middle East.
• Monitor the movement of trucks, shipments, and cargo, ensuring timely pickups, deliveries, and fulfillment of transportation commitments.
• Manage the scheduling and routing of vehicles in coordination with local teams and transportation partners.
• Maintain communication with drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure that operational issues are addressed quickly.

Vendor and Client Management:

• Liaise with transport vendors and service providers to ensure high levels of service quality.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, resolving operational concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Performance Monitoring:

• Track and report key operational metrics, including delivery times, vehicle utilization, and on-time performance.
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure that all transportation activities are in compliance with local and international regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all transportation operations, including shipment tracking, PODs (Proof of Delivery), and vehicle maintenance records.

Issue Resolution:

• Act as the first point of contact for any operational issues or delays, ensuring timely resolution through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could affect operational performance.

Collaboration with Middle East Teams:

• Act as a bridge between the CoE in India and the on-ground teams in the Middle East.
• Ensure alignment in operational goals and objectives between the teams, facilitating seamless logistics execution.

Technology Utilization:

• Leverage transportation management systems (TMS) and other operational tools to monitor and manage logistics activities.
• Utilize data analytics to optimize operations, improve routing efficiency, and reduce costs.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation operations, preferably in a CoE setup.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of transportation and logistics operations, especially in the Middle East.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics software, transportation management systems (TMS), and data reporting tools.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with international teams, vendors, and customers.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions under time-sensitive conditions.
• Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Team Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate cross-functional activities.
