Business Intelligence Consultant

Job Summary:
The Senior Data and Visualization Analyst will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining data dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to senior management and stakeholders. This role will focus on transforming complex data sets into intuitive and visually compelling dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and others. The analyst will work cross-functionally with various departments to drive data-driven decision-making, improve business performance, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualizations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements, ensuring that dashboards provide clear, relevant, and accurate insights.
• Collaborate with business units to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that drive business growth and efficiency.
• Perform data extraction, cleaning, and transformation to ensure high-quality data for visualization and analysis.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact business performance.
• Lead initiatives to automate reporting processes and ensure scalability in data analysis.
• Ensure data integrity by validating and reconciling data across multiple sources.
• Provide training and support to business users on interpreting dashboards and leveraging insights for decision-making.
• Stay current with industry trends in data visualization and business intelligence technologies.
• Mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and querying.
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and working with large datasets.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience with Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling (preferred but not required).
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data analysis, visualization, or business intelligence roles.
• Proven track record of building impactful dashboards and delivering actionable insights.
• Experience working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
