Job Description
Job Overview:
A Charitable Hospital is seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatrist to join a dedicated medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, providing therapeutic interventions, and offering holistic care in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Diagnose and treat patients with mental health disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder).
Conduct detailed assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy as needed.
Monitor patients progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Prescribe appropriate medication and provide medication management.
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, interviews, and tests to determine mental health conditions.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies.
Documentation Reporting:
Maintain accurate and timely medical records for all patients.
Prepare reports on patient progress and provide updates to family members or caretakers.
Ensure all documentation is compliant with hospital policies and medical regulations.
Community Support:
Offer mental health education and support programs to the local community.
Participate in outreach programs and collaborate with local organizations to raise awareness about mental health.
Professional Development:
Stay updated with the latest research, treatment methods, and best practices in psychiatry.
Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical staff.
Requirements
Qualifications Skills:
Education:
Medical degree (MBBS) with a specialization in Psychiatry (MD or DNB in Psychiatry).
Experience:
3+ years of experience in psychiatric practice. Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
Skills:
Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
Empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
Knowledge of mental health laws and ethical guidelines.

Compassionate and empathetic with a genuine desire to help patients.
Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively with medical and support staff.
