Principal

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Principal to drive meaningful educational and community development outcomes. The Principal will oversee day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and management of educational programs, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring that our initiatives meet the highest standards and align with the NGOs mission and values. The Principal will play a key leadership role in shaping the direction of our organization s educational offerings and fostering an inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment for students, teachers, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

- Develop and execute strategic goals and objectives for the [specific school/program/initiative].

- Ensure alignment of program goals with the organization s overall mission and vision.

- Foster an innovative and inclusive learning culture, ensuring a positive and nurturing environment for all.

- Lead and mentor staff to promote professional growth and ensure continuous improvement in educational delivery.

- Program Management:

- Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs.

- Collaborate with the NGO s team to monitor, assess, and report on program effectiveness and outcomes.

- Manage the budget for educational programs, ensuring cost-effective delivery while maintaining quality.

- Staff Management & Development:

- Lead and support a team of educators, administrative staff, and volunteers.

- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff.

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.

- Community & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, families, donors, and partners.

- Advocate for the needs of the community, ensuring educational programs are culturally appropriate and responsive.

- Represent the NGO at meetings, conferences, and events to raise the organization s profile.

- Compliance & Reporting:

- Ensure all programs comply with relevant laws, policies, and regulations.

- Regularly report to senior management and stakeholders on program status, challenges, and successes.

- Keep track of financials, ensuring transparency and accountability in the use of funds.

Qualifications:

- Education & Experience:

- A Master s degree in Education, Non-profit Management, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in a non-profit or community-based setting.

- Experience in managing and mentoring diverse teams of staff.

- Strong background in program development and management in an NGO or social sector context.

- Skills:

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to think strategically, creatively solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.

- Strong understanding of educational frameworks, pedagogy, and community development.
