Role Purpose - To understand market trends, identifying consumer needs, and translating insights into actionable marketing strategies that support product development, branding, and go-to-market plans.
Key Responsibilities
Consumer Insights and Market Research:
- Lead consumer and market research initiatives to uncover emerging trends, consumer behaviors, and unmet needs.
- Design and execute quantitative and qualitative research studies, including surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
- Analyze research data to generate actionable insights that inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Track competitor activities and industry developments to provide timely recommendations for strategic adjustments.
Strategic Marketing:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for new product launches within the ODM business, ensuring alignment with consumer insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, product development, and sales, to create consumer-centric products.
- Define the go-to-market strategy for ODM products, including positioning, messaging, and pricing strategies
- Manage product branding and marketing campaigns to drive awareness and adoption.
Innovation and Product Development:
- Work closely with the product development team to identify opportunities for product innovation based on consumer insights.
- Act as the voice of the consumer during product development discussions to ensure that products meet market needs.
- Drive innovation workshops and ideation sessions to explore new product concepts and packaging solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Serve as the key point of contact for marketing activities within the ODM business, liaising with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners.
- Provide insights and presentations to senior leadership and clients to guide decision-making and marketing investments.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop marketing tools and collateral to support business development efforts.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leverage market data, sales trends, and consumer feedback to optimize marketing strategies and product performance.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and product launches, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Brand Building and Communication:
- Lead efforts to strengthen the brand positioning of VVF's ODM products, ensuring alignment with market demands.
- Develop engaging content and marketing materials for digital and offline platforms to support the promotion of ODM offerings.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all channels and touchpoints.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proven experience in leading consumer research projects and market analysis.
- Solid understanding of product development processes and marketing strategy formulation.
- Excellent networking skills, communication and presentation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across teams.
- 5-7 years of experience in consumer insights, marketing, or product development roles, preferably in the personal care or Beauty industry. Experience in an ODM/contract manufacturing environment is a plus
