Lead Platform Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team and play a critical role in streamlining and automating our cloud infrastructure.

As a Platform Engineer at Torry Harris, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated processes for our cloud-based applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployment and management of our cloud services.

Qualification:

•    7+ years of hands-on experience in taking requirements and designing, architecting, and implementing scalable and robust solutions.
•    Proven success in building frameworks and products.
•    4+ years of experience working with modern languages like Typescript, Java, Node.js, Python
•    4+ years of experience with agile methodologies and best practices.
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills.
•    3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS is a plus).
•    3+ years of experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and tools.
•    Familiarity with serverless technologies (such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway) is advantageous.

•    Act as a leader within our engineering community, mentoring junior and senior engineers.
•    Contribute significantly to architectural decisions to build robust solutions.
•    Build patterns, services, tools, frameworks, APIs, and capabilities across the full stack and in AWS to enhance developer productivity with a security-conscious mindset.
•    Develop reusable components and microservices that power our self-service portal.
•    Design and implement patterns, services, tools, frameworks, APIs, and capabilities across AWS that promote developer productivity and ensure security.
•    Engage with stakeholders and present the work being carried out effectively.
