Assistant General Manager

Objective

Develop LV Switchgears SKUs for market launch & continuously innovate basis consumer requirements

Key responsibilities:

• Build R&D capabilities for Design, Development & testing of Switchgear products (MCB, RCCB,RCBO, Isolators, DBs, etc)
• Create product development roadmap, build team and capabilities to develop innovative & quality products
• Own and Manage New Product Development & lifecycle management projects
• Ensure compliance with BIS & other standards (RoHS, CE, etc..) and obtain necessary certifications for product launches
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing team to understand consumer needs and preferences to design new products
• Engage with Industrial design agencies or Industrial designers for the industrisal design
• Engage with contract manufacturers and mould makers to ensure production inline with the design
• Engage with external partners / universities / startups for Product / Technology innovation
• Collaborate with HR team to identify training needs for building/enhancing team's competence
• Interface with production and quality team to commercialize product
• Prepare & control CAPEX/OPEX plan

Experience and Qualification

• 13+ years in Product design & Development of FMEG, 10+ years in Switchgears category R&D and managing team.
• Must have experience of complete MCB, RCCB, Isolator, DBs range development (from concept to launch) and life cycle management.
• Master's/Bachelor's in Engineering / Design, expertise in New product development, Project Management, People Management
